Job Description

Agoda Off Campus Drive Hiring Software Engineer Internship The Software Engineer Internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience with the latest technology in a dynamic work environment. Interns will contribute to the development of scalable, fault-tolerant systems, utilizing cutting-edge programming languages and data technologies while following agile methodologies. This role offers exposure to the entire product lifecycle, from requirement definition to deployment and monitoring.

Role and Responsibilities

Contribute high-quality code to a codebase that supports scalable systems handling millions of requests.
Work with modern programming languages such as Scala, Kotlin, ReactJS, and C#.
Use data technologies like Kafka and Spark, and follow agile development practices.
Implement and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for seamless operations.
Participate in the complete product lifecycle, from requirement definition, coding standards, and testing to deployment and monitoring.

Requirement and Skills

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Familiarity with object-oriented and/or functional programming fundamentals.
Basic understanding of relational and/or non-relational databases.
Proficient in English communication.
Eagerness to learn quickly and adapt to new challenges.
Availability for at least 4 months during the internship.

Bonus Qualifications

Experience with programming languages such as Scala, Kotlin, Java, JavaScript, ReactJS, or C#.
Previous exposure to backend development and system scaling basics.
Knowledge of data platforms like MS SQL, Cassandra, or Hadoop.
Familiarity with automated CI/CD systems, test-driven development, clean architecture, and SOLID principles.
